Stable & Affordable Review by derail
Very pleased with the stability & price. I found the footrests difficult to adjust when changing from one "yaker" to another, and the top corner of the hull behind the seat caused a lot of lower back discomfort to everyone who has used it. I fixed that by cutting a sheet of thin aluminum that extends from the seat bottom to 4" above the top of the hull or deck. It fastens to the two 1/4-20 nuts behind the seat back, and takes the strain off of the lower back. It's still a great value and the most stable kayak I've ever been in! Seat back is the only thing that kept me from giving it a 5. (Posted on 6/14/2018)
very good kayakReview by Old67
I first started canoeing back in 78 at 27, had 3 different canoes, the last an Old Towne 15 ft model purchased back in 84.. Used it as a double person or a single (me) and enjoyed the heck out of it on the rivers of southern Mo. Had friends who the closed kayaks who insisted I was so good as a solo canoeist that I should try a kayak.. Just couldn't see having to practice that 360 degree flip. The 83 lb canoe was good enough. Then when I turned 60, that 83 lb lift (shoulder press) got to be a bit tough. So, I purchased this Fusion 124 Kayak. Holey Crap, where has this thing been all the last 40 years. Its tracks great, handles like a breeze, turns so quick, and boy can I make it move thru the water. When you've been in a canoe, even a good one, and used it solo, then get in this kayak -- what a difference. Think my 8 year old grandson could make this work for him. Can't express how good this kayak is, thanks design engineers, you got this one right, and that's from a veteran canoeist. (Posted on 6/1/2018)
So all reviews are 5 stars?Review by kayaker
It's a great kayak, but the seat is uncomfortable, so only 4 stars (Posted on 5/19/2018)

Impressed with the customer serviceReview by Taylor
My family bought 2 of these kayaks and we love them! They are the first kayaks we have owned and we're surprised of how easy they travel on the water after using other kayaks in the past. I love that there is a waterproof hatch and there is lots of room in the kayak itself.
I'm also really impressed with the customer service of Future Beach after the hatch cover became detached off of one of the kayaks and is missing. I emailed the company and within a week had a new hatch cover free of charge under the warranty. Highly recommend this product. (Posted on 6/14/2017)
Fusion 124 = Great Value!Review by wagman
The Fusion 124 is a very comfortable kayak with great stability and tracking. With our family ranging from 5' 2" to 5' 11" the kayak adjusts to all our needs. We have taken it from streams and open channel waters (not yet to the ocean) and have been impressed with the performance to value ratio. We will be getting another one so we don't have to share as much! (Posted on 8/13/2016)

Awesome starter and all around kayakReview by Jeffrey
I bought this kayak when I was about 14 years old. I have had it for a while now. I have tried many other kayaks, but they don't surmount to this one by far. I can fish, paddle, trol, even sleep. It's GREAT!!! I have outfitted it with rod/paddle holder and extra seat cushion, for more comfort, but otherwise it's wonderful. I LOVE IT!!! (Posted on 5/25/2016)
Great for sporting aroundReview by Margo
I've used this mostly on a lake-minimal waves but have also taken it out on a river and am incredibly pleased. I invested in a memory foam seat because I spend hours out at a time, but the regular seat is fine for shorter trips. It is wide for my arm length, but a longer paddle proves no problem. Very Stable!!!! I actually take my red setter out with me all the time and she has a blast-the extra stability with the hull makes a huge difference. It is incredibly easy to get in and out of because of that as well. I just stand right up and step out. The only real lacking point is a lack of a waterproof compartment, but the water-tight lid does protect gear from splashes and rain. :) Love it! (Posted on 10/7/2015)
Great Kayak!!!!!Review by Robert L
Fantastic kayak that does everything I need and extremely stable. Have taken this out in some rough ocean waters and always made it back without ever tipping. Also great control with this kayak-- a little lean here and there for sneaker waves and this kayak easily absorbs them. Love riding wake waves with this kayak! (Posted on 9/10/2015)
Love them!Review by Matt
I bought one used and thought so much of it that I bought a second brand new. I have had a blast with both of them and have recommended them to friends and family. They are extremely stable, track well, easily maneuverable and easy to carry. Sure, you can buy more expensive kayaks, but I don't see why you would want to. Great kayaks for the money. Love my 124Review by Joe
Just bought it today and weny syraight to the lake. It performed flawlessly. Extremely stable and manouverable. It tracked great and was very able when the wind picked up and the water got choppy. Can't wait for future adventures! (Posted on 7/13/2015)
I've been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time on the water since I was a kid. Whether I used a canoe, paddle boat, or powerboat, I've enjoyed every minute of it! I never tried kayaking, as I assumed that they were fairly "tippy" and not being a swimmer considered them dangerous. About 5 years ago I had an opportunity to try out a kayak that my oldest son bought, and I was hooked!!! I bought my first Fusion shortly afterward. While doing some research, I was looking for a large open cockpit, and one that I could put a skirt on if needed. Most of the kayaks in the Fusion price range wouldn't allow for a skirt. I have used the boat on a regular basis since, literally over 100 times...and each time was a "blast"!. I've been out in 15"-18" waves, but never felt unsafe...just wet! It tracks well, and is light enough to toss in the back of my truck without looking for any assistance. Since my first purchase, I bought a 2nd one last year as a donation for a memorial benefit for a couple of local young men that lost their lives in car accidents (one being my nephew). A couple of weeks ago, I bought 2 more, 1 for my wife and another for this years benefit. I'm looking to buy at least one more this year for my youngest son's birthday, and then should be set for a while. If there are any negatives, it would be the lack of flotation (I added a couple of foam swimming tubes), and having a water tight lid without a water tight compartment. But that's why it's a $400. kayak (retail), and not more...just need to carry dry bags. By the way, between some hiking, kayaking and biking I've been able to lose 30lbs+ and I'm closing in on 60! THANKS!!!! (Posted on 7/11/2015)

Q & A

Q1: Can I buy a spray skirt for my Kayak? If so, where?

A1: Only sit-in kayaks can accept spray skirts, but not all of them do. It all depends on the size of the cockpit and the shape of the lip. Some cockpit dimensions are shown on the product detail page. If you don’t see your cockpit dimensions, you can use a tape measure and check the width and length of your cockpit including the lip. To purchase spray skirts, please visit www.sealsskirts.com.

Q2: Regarding the «weight capacity» to a specific kayak, is there a general rule that applies whether it should suit me or not?

A2: The weight capacity stated on the kayak documentation represent the maximum weight the kayak can hold to be fully usable. For a more comfortable ride, always look for a kayak that has a weight capacity approximately 30 to 40lbs above your actual weight. It’s even more important for sit-on top kayaks as the closer you are to the weight limit, the deeper will the line of floatation be, resulting in more water coming into the kayak from the scupper holes.

Q3: Where do I find the Serial/Warranty #?

A3: Your kayak’s serial number is located behind the seat or on the rear left hand side (when looking at your kayak from the front). Please use this number in order to register your kayak on the Registration section of our website.

Q4: What is the best way to store my kayak?

A4: The ideal way to store a kayak is to sit it on a flat surface. If your kayak remains outdoors, you should keep it covered and out of direct sunlight. Do not leave any straps tightly clinched around your kayak for long periods, especially in warm weather. This could distort the shape of the kayak. For an easy storage and access to your kayak, we recommend to take a look at the different options in the Accessories section of our website.

Q5: I would like to put a rudder system on my kayak, is it possible?

A5: None of our kayaks comes with a rudder system. Even if there are third party rudder system available on the market, we do not recommend the use of any specific one. The installation of a rudder system is done at your own risk. Please note that any permanent alteration of your kayak hull will result in the cancellation of the warranty.
